Caitlin began her romance with the Big Island in her youth, falling so in love with the land and the aloha spirit, it inspired her direction in life to someday make it back for good. 5 years ago her heart finally made Hawai'i her home and she can now be found in her natural habitat, among the dolphins in in the sea, hiking through the sacred Lava fields of Tutu Pele's altar or meditating within the sweet aromas of this island. Caitlin grew up with a love of intentional movement; dance and gymnastics were her two favorite things until she found yoga. In her early twenties, she began an immersive study into meditation and philosophy of yoga and other Eastern traditional medicines. After living in Vietnam for over a year and managing a holistic healing center, she turned down law school and enrolled in a Masters program at the University of Utah in integrative health and wellness. She began teaching mindfulness, 'kindfulness', and philosophy of yoga throughout the state of Utah in public schools and at the University of Utah for undergrads. After her long awaited move to the Big Island, she has been helping manage retreat centers, teaching yoga/meditation and finding inspiration in creating sacred spaces for spiritual transformation. Caitlin is enormously grateful to share her love for embodied presence, philosophy and connection to the aina as she continues to discover her dharma within this interweaving of intention and community.

Sierra Murphree spirals forward with the understanding that all solutions begin with creativity and imagination. She incorporates the intentions of health and healing into every project she chooses. Sierra has earned a few art degrees, a few teaching certificates, plus she’s completed a two year course called ‘Understanding Your Personal Energy’. (Ask her about Reichian archetypes.) She also loves sharing tea and practices what she calls ‘gong fu cha festival style’. The principles of the Japanese aesthetic movement, wabi sabi, often guide her artistic choices.
Sierra is also an author illustrator in the genre of children’s literature (the cutting edge of contemporary art in her opinion). Her current book projects include a biography of Leo Kellner, Gertie & the Three Monsters, Poppy & Blink, and Troll Family Recipes by Julia Childeater. [picturesthattellastory.com] Sierra’s friends identify her as an artist and tea enthusiast. But in her own words, “life is an art” and she is simply “tea’s humble servant”.
She gets a goofy smile when she imagines playing and sipping tea with all y’all at the upcoming yoga teacher training.
Sarah will be hosting movement meditation and silent dance.
